Your dog’s home away from home. Wiggle Butts & Waggin’ Tails provides loving, personalized care for your furry family members. Whether you’re looking for doggy day care or a safe and fun dog boarding kennel for your pet to stay while you travel, Wiggle Butts & Waggin’ Tails’ experienced staff understands your dog’s needs and will treat your dog(s) with comfort and love.
We are happy to offer daycare and overnight boarding for your furry friends. We completely individualize the care your dog receives, so every dog’s experience looks a little different. Our goal is to make this as fun and stress free for both you and your dog! Because of this, we require at least one week notice when booking your first overnight boarding or daycare.
We love welcoming new dogs into our facility! If your dog meets the requirements below, we would love to hear from you! Please send us an email and let us know how you are wanting your dog to get involved. Then fill out the new client registration form by clicking on the button below. Your dog must:
Be at least 5 months for daycare and 6 months for boarding
Be completely potty trained
We get accidents happen in new places, but they need to understand to go outside
Not be an indoor marker. Marking outside is fair game, just not inside.
Be spayed/neutered after an appropriate time frame as recommended by your vet
Please let us know if there is a medical or other reason why your dog cannot be spayed/neutered
Have NO aggression towards people. No exceptions.
Due to insurance rules we are unable to accept the following dog breeds for day care and boarding: Akita, Chow, Dalmatian, Doberman, Pit Bulls and Pit Bull Mixes, Cane Corso, and Rottweilers.
When we took over Wiggle Butts & Waggin’ Tails, we knew we wanted to honor the heart of what was already here while also creating a fresh start that reflects who we are today. That’s why we kept the name and a small piece of the original logo — the dog house — as a nod to the past and the foundation that was built before us.
The rest of the design represents the new chapter.
We chose bright, fun, yet calming colors and playful elements to capture the joy and energy of dogs being dogs. You’ll notice toys, balls and a leash scattered throughout the design, representing the many ways we keep dogs engaged and active every day — from playgroups to enrichment activities to leash trail walks.
The soft blue waves in the background are a tribute to our beautiful home here in Traverse City and the incredible Lake Michigan shoreline.
Two very special dogs are also part of the logo.
The golden retriever represents Finnley, my golden and my soul dog. Finnley passed away a year and a half ago, but he was the best friend anyone could have and the dog who inspired so much of my love for this work. We like to think of him now as our guardian angel watching over the kennel.
The great pyrenees represents Quinn, our one-eyed protector. If you visit, you’ll probably hear her at drop-off or pick-up announcing your arrival. Don’t worry — she takes her job of security very seriously and is determined to protect us from any potential threats… even the ones that don’t necessarily exist.
At the end of the day, the logo represents what we hope this place feels like for your dogs: a safe, happy place full of play, adventure, and care.
We hope you love it as much as we do!
